'The playing, the choice of music, and the imaginative video presentations are outstanding. The short length is ideal for these times for home viewing for those without the time or inclination for a full-length concert.'

Interview with Anna Stegmann & Eva Saladin about Ensemble Odyssee (Dutch)

Early Music Review+

Andrew Benson-Wilson, October 2019

"Alongside Anna Stegmann’s inspirational recorder playing [...] there are excellent contributions from harpsichordist Andrea Friggi, the violinists Eva Saladin and Nadine Henrichs, and Maria Martinez Ayerza, recorder."

Early Music Review

Brian Clark, February 2017

5 stars & disk of the month

I very much enjoyed the way Stegmann crafts each note and phrase beautifully; virtuosity without the eccentricity that can often accompany it… This was among the discs I listened to most often through December and January.

Musica Dei Donum

Johan van Veen, January 2017

The German-born Anna Stegmann [...], is an outstanding player who produces a beautiful tone and plays with much imagination and zest. She is accompanied by players who are at the same wavelength and this has resulted in a most captivating disc.

Not only recorder aficionados will enjoy this disc but anyone who likes good music.

Gramophone

Charlotte Gardner, December 2016

Ensemble Odyssee’s own crisply perky readings then fit them like a glove, with Anna Stegmann herself equally on the button, dispatching the almost relentless recorder passagework with fluent ease.

Daily Telegraph

January 2016

Stegmann proved one of the stars of the afternoon, especially with her superb performance of Vivaldi’s Concerto in C for soprano recorder which brought an added enthusiastic ovation after its virtuosic first movement.

Limelight Magazine

January 2016

Solo contributions included some outstanding recorder playing from Anna Stegmann whose dazzling rendition of Van Eyck’s divisions on Wat zal men op den Avond doen (What shall we do in the evening?) was a real highlight.

Diapason

Sophie Roughol, June 2013

... a concerto for recorder of deceiving sweetness, excellently served by Anna Stegmann.

Ruhrnachrichte

December 2008

Was soll man mehr bewundern?
